Business Services Technology
Welcome to Business Services Technology. Business Services Technology serves as a technical liaison, application developer, trouble-shooting agent, and designer for UNCG Business Services departments, including Purchasing, PCard Compliance, Postal Services, Trademark and Licensing, FirstCard, Graphics & Printing, and Surplus Warehouse. We take pride in serving Business Services and offer other UNCG entities and the public access to information, programs, and resources that can be used for design, training, and development. Click on the Public Information tab to see what's currently available. The BSV Forms and Requests tab is for BSV employees only (employees listed in the above departments). It contains forms and reports for creating and monitoring BSV Technology projects. Business Services Technology is constantly developing new approaches to overcome technology problems while making these new technologies accessible to the average user. While these are developed to serve the departments related to Business Services, we understand the value of sharing these with others at UNCG and those involved with the Educational field in general. All changes to policy must have been approved by the appropriate supervisor before submitting the request for change. Please have the URL of the web page available before signing in, as this is required. Change requests are limited to a single web page per form - ie. http://purchasing.uncg.edu/travel where 'travel' is the web page to be changed. Changes can be made to the home page, individual web pages, menu bars, etc. as needed. Business Services Technology will work as a liaison between ITS-MIS and/or vendor and Business Services departments to initiate technical support and assist in the testing, set-up, and training for the department's technical needs for new and existing systems/software. Technology support, system enhancements to existing products, online forms, training materials, design requests, and other project requests must be requested using the form below. Banner, Captivate training modules, new web site/pages, PCard Web Solution, WebFocus reports/data, SQL data sources (pending ITS approval), WorkFlow, and Visual Web (.aspx) forms are some of systems/software supported by Business Services Technology.
